“Kerala: Wayanad ‘Man-Eater’ Tiger Killed, Victim’s Hair and Belongings Found in Its Stomach”

The "man-eater" tiger responsible for the death of a woman in Wayanad district was found dead on Monday morning, after a week-long search operation. The female tiger, believed to be around 4-5 years old, was discovered behind a house in the residential area of Pilakavu. Wildlife officials confirmed the tiger had killed the woman just two days earlier, while she was collecting coffee beans near the forest edge.

Heavy rainfall has prompted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a red alert for Wayanad and Kannur districts in Kerala, signaling the possibility of extremely heavy rain exceeding 20 cm within 24 hours. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for eight other districts, while the remaining six districts are under a yellow alert.
