On Monday, many areas in Telangana, including Hyderabad, saw temperatures plunge into the single digits, triggering cold wave conditions that affected the daily life of residents.

IMD Forecasts Continued Heatwave in North India, Heavy Rainfall Expected in Certain Regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather forecasts indicating that the ongoing heatwave conditions will persist in several northern states, while heavy rainfall is expected in certain regions.

“Chamba in Himachal Pradesh Hit by 5.3 Magnitude Earthquake”

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck the Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh, causing tremors felt across North India including Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana. The National Center for Seismology confirmed the earthquake's occurrence, stating that it originated at a depth of 10 km with coordinates Lat: 33.09 & Long: 76.59. The tremors, lasting only a few seconds, did not result in any loss of life or property damage.

Rain and Snow Expected to Return to North India; Delhi Minimum Temperature at 7.6°C

Weather experts have forecasted the likelihood of rain and snow making a comeback in the Western Himalayan region and nearby plains early next week, with overcast conditions and spells of precipitation anticipated in central India and parts of the northwest plains, including the national capital, Delhi. This forecast comes in light of a new western disturbance (WD) system expected to affect these regions, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Delhi-NCR and several parts of North India woke up to an intensified cold wave accompanied by dense fog, significantly impacting daily life. The dense fog made commuting arduous for residents, blanketing the region and reducing visibility.
