In the wake of the deadly terrorist attack at Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, security forces have ramped up counter-terrorism operations across Kashmir, particularly in the southern districts. According to army sources, four counter-terror operations are underway today, as part of an intensified security crackdown aimed at dismantling terrorist networks operating in the region.

Delhi is facing a cold wave on Monday morning, with temperatures dipping and chilly winds sweeping through the national capital. Cold wave conditions have gripped several parts of India, with temperatures dropping significantly in regions such as Telangana, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Odisha, and Delhi. On Monday, many areas in Telangana, including Hyderabad, saw temperatures plunge into the single digits, triggering cold wave conditions that affected the daily life of residents.

Kashmir's mountainous regions experienced fresh snowfall on Sunday, leading to the closure of key roads connecting districts in the region. Mughal Road, which connects Shopian with Rajouri-Poonch districts, and Sinthan Road, linking Anantnag with Kishtwar, were both closed due to the snowfall over the Pir Panjal Mountains.

Kashmir's first snowfall of the season has brought picturesque views of the Valley, attracting tourists to popular destinations like Gulmarg and Sonamarg. However, the early snowstorm has also led to travel disruptions in the region.

A tragic bus accident on Friday resulted in the deaths of three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and left 32 others injured in the Budgam district. The incident occurred while the bus, which was engaged in election duty, was transporting a total of 35 BSF members when it skidded off a hilly road and plunged into a gorge in the Brell Waterhail area.
