The action was taken ahead of the eviction of illegal occupants from railway land, which has hindered the construction of a crucial third railway line connecting Narayangarh in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal to Bhadrak, Odisha.

n a fresh outbreak of violence in Manipur, at least two people have lost their lives, and more than 50 have been injured as a result of clashes between armed locals and security forces.
