Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had to opt for a road trip from Srinagar to Jammu after his flight was cancelled on Sunday due to poor visibility at the Jammu airport. The cancellation was part of a larger disruption in air traffic, as airport officials reported that eleven flights were cancelled on Sunday because of low visibility, and one more was grounded due to technical reasons.

A non-local man was found dead in the Waduna area of Zainapora, Shopian district, on Friday, with authorities confirming the incident as a terrorist attack. The victim’s bullet-riddled body was discovered by officials, who have since initiated an investigation to identify him and the circumstances surrounding his death.

Omar Abdullah, the leader of the National Conference (NC), is scheduled to take the oath of office as the new Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir on October 16. The announcement follows an invitation from Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, which Abdullah shared on social media platform X.
