The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has taken a decisive step in combating cybercrime by blocking over 1,000 Skype accounts used by cross-border cybercriminals. These criminals were involved in various online scams, including intimidation, blackmail, extortion, and what the agency termed as "digital arrests."

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in India has declared several Meitei extremist organizations, including the Peoples’ Liberation Army (PLA) and Revolutionary Peoples’ Front (RPF), as "unlawful associations" under the UAPA. The ban is imposed for five years, citing concerns over their secessionist, subversive, and violent activities, including attacks on security forces and civilians in Manipur. The MHA emphasizes the need for immediate control to prevent escalation and anti-national activities, highlighting the organizations' detrimental impact on India's sovereignty and integrity.
