Delhi Lifts GRAP Stage 3 Restrictions as Air Quality Improves

New Delhi: Amid a dip in air pollution levels, the Centre's Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Monday revoked restrictions under Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR. The decision comes as the city's average Air Quality Index (AQI) fell below the 300 mark due to favourable meteorological conditions that aided the dispersion of pollutants.

Centre Lifts GRAP 3 Restrictions in Delhi-NCR as Pollution Levels Drop

The Central government’s air quality panel, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), on Friday lifted restrictions under Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR). The decision follows a notable dip in pollution levels and comes a day after GRAP 4 restrictions were revoked.

Delhi Lifts GRAP-4 Restrictions as Air Quality Shows Improvement

Delhi's air pollution levels have shown signs of improvement, leading to the revocation of Stage-4 measures under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) announced the decision after the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi improved significantly. As of 5 PM, the AQI was recorded at 364, categorized as "very poor" but below the threshold of 400 that necessitates GRAP-4 measures.
