In a groundbreaking move following his visit to Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the initiation of the “Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.” This ambitious scheme aims to facilitate the installation of rooftop solar panels on one crore houses, fostering energy self-reliance and alleviating the electricity burden on the poor and middle class.
PM Modi, who led the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya, revealed that his decision was inspired by the realization that devotees worldwide draw energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram. In a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, he declared, “The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.'”
Highlighting the dual impact of the scheme, PM Modi emphasized that it would not only bring relief to the electricity bills of the underprivileged and the middle class but also propel India towards self-reliance in the energy sector.
In his address, the Prime Minister characterized Lord Ram as “energy” and declared the day as the “dawn of a new era.” He stated, “Ram is not a fire; he is an energy. Ram is not a dispute; he is a solution. Ram is not just ours; he is everyone’s.” The consecration ceremony, according to PM Modi, witnessed not only the idol’s sanctification but also the consecration of India’s unbreakable unity.
The Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, constructed in the traditional Nagara style, stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage, adorned with intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities across its 392 pillars and 44 doors.
As celebrations reverberate across temples in India and events unfold worldwide, the initiation of the “Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana” marks a significant step towards harnessing solar power for the empowerment of households, aligning with India’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions and fostering self-sufficiency.
