In a landmark development aimed at charting India’s trajectory towards becoming a developed nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled the ambitious “Viksit Bharat 2047” plan. Emphasizing the importance of planning for a developed India by 2047, Modi presented the comprehensive vision document during a meeting of the Council of Ministers today.

The blueprint for “Viksit Bharat 2047” has been meticulously crafted through extensive consultations and deliberations. Over the course of more than 2700 meetings spanning from December 2021 to January 2024, various ministries have collaborated, examining 450 recommendations and seeking input from 15 stakeholders. This inclusive approach underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring broad-based participation in shaping India’s future.

At the heart of the plan lies a steadfast commitment to empowering citizens and fostering a sustainable economy. Modi articulated the vision of India emerging as a global leader in technology and innovation, setting the stage for transformative advancements on the world stage.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the allocation of ₹1 lakh crore in the budget towards future technologies, signaling a clear intent to position India at the forefront of innovation.
