This bus shelter was under the purview of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). N Ravi Reddy, the vice president of the transport body, lodged a formal complaint regarding the theft on September 30, prompting the initiation of a police investigation into the bizarre incident.
The police have registered a case under Section 157 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) as they delve into the perplexing disappearance of the bus stop. In their pursuit of clues, law enforcement officials are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage obtained from nearby buildings in the area.
