Success stories often begin with ambition, but some are shaped by personal experiences that redefine purpose. The journey of Dr. Devi Prasanna Goyal, widely known as Dr. DP Goyal, reflects a life that blends entrepreneurship with social responsibility. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, he is recognized as both a business leader and a social reform advocate.

Dr. Goyal’s professional career began in 1999 when he stepped into the construction sector. Starting with limited resources, he worked alongside his father and gradually gained hands-on experience in the industry. These early years helped him understand the practical challenges faced by the construction sector, particularly the lack of standardized systems and modern equipment.

However, his life took a major turn in 2007 after the untimely loss of his father. The responsibility of continuing the family’s work fell upon him at a young stage of his career. With the support of his mother Angoori Devi, his brother Naveen Goyal, and his brother-in-law Satish Tayal, he reorganized the business and began rebuilding it with a professional approach.

Over time, this effort led to the development of the Winntus Group, a company focused on manufacturing formwork and scaffolding systems used in modern construction. One of its key companies, Winntus Formwork Pvt. Ltd., produces steel formwork solutions designed to replace traditional wooden shuttering.

These systems help improve efficiency, safety, and durability in construction projects. Under Dr. Goyal’s leadership, the company expanded its reach across multiple locations and contributed to the gradual modernization of construction practices.

While his business career progressed steadily, another defining moment came years later when his mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. The experience deeply affected him, particularly after witnessing the difficulties faced by families seeking affordable healthcare.

This personal experience became the foundation for his philanthropic work.

Dr. Goyal established the CanWinn Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing affordable healthcare and social welfare support. Based in Gurugram, the foundation offers low-cost outpatient consultations, diagnostic services, and access to discounted medicines.

The foundation has also supported numerous medical treatments including dialysis sessions, surgeries, and inpatient care. To make healthcare services easier to access, the organization launched the CanWinn Connect App, which allows patients to connect with medical facilities and obtain healthcare information more efficiently.

Beyond healthcare, the foundation also runs programs focused on economic empowerment and community development. Initiatives such as the Mahila Kaushal Vikas Kendra provide vocational training opportunities for women, while the CanWinn Rozgar Centre helps youth connect with employment opportunities.

Community engagement is another important part of the organization’s work. Programs like the Sacha Saathi Brigade and Har Ghar Sundarkand Mahotsav aim to promote social unity and cultural participation within the community.

Despite balancing business and social responsibilities, Dr. Goyal emphasizes simplicity and discipline in daily life. He believes that meaningful progress comes through consistent effort and responsibility toward society.

He often summarizes his philosophy through a simple idea: larger problems demand greater responsibility and stronger efforts.

Looking ahead, Dr. Goyal hopes to contribute to the broader national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, which aims to see India emerge as a developed nation by the centenary of its independence.

His journey illustrates how entrepreneurship and social responsibility can work together to create both economic and social value.
