Tragedy Strikes Rajkot Game Zone: 8 Family Members Perish in Devastating Fire

In a heart-wrenching incident at the TRP game zone in Rajkot, tragedy struck as 27 people lost their lives in a massive fire on Saturday evening. Among the victims, eight members of the Jadeja family had embarked on a weekend outing but never returned home, leaving their loved ones in mourning and searching for answers.

The fire, suspected to have originated from a short circuit, engulfed the game zone, claiming lives in its wake. Among the victims were Virendrasinh Jadeja (42), his son Dharmraj, brother-in-law Om Gohil, nephew Pradip, and niece Devarshi, who were all part of the ill-fated outing. Devikaba Jadeja, recounting the horrific events, described her father’s valiant efforts to rescue family members before succumbing to the inferno.

As families reel from the shock, questions arise about the safety measures at the game zone. Devikaba highlighted the absence of firefighting equipment, alarms, and fire exits, contributing to the tragic outcome.

Amid the chaos, the Dosara family is also grappling with uncertainty. Vivek Dosara (26) and his wife Khushali (24), who recently married, were visiting Rajkot and had ventured to the game zone for leisure. However, they remain unaccounted for since the fire broke out.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident, with Rajkot Collector Prabhav Joshi confirming that DNA samples of all victims have been sent for forensic testing. This step aims to prevent any issues of misidentification or confusion during the identification process.

The aftermath of the fire has prompted action against negligence, as two police inspectors and three civic officials face suspension for allowing the game zone to operate without necessary approvals. Families continue to await closure as investigations into the exact cause of the fire continue.
