A teacher from Maharashtra’s Thane district, Shweta Pushkar Pathak, tragically lost her life in an accident while on a school tour in Bali, Indonesia. The incident occurred during a school trip, which has left the educational community in shock.
Pathak, a dedicated educator at BK Birla Public School in Thane, was reportedly involved in an accident that claimed her life. According to a PTI report, the school confirmed the devastating news and expressed its deep sorrow. “Shweta Pathak lost her life in an unfortunate accident in Bali. We are currently handling all formalities with local authorities to bring her body back to India,” a source from the school said.
The school also issued a heartfelt message on its official website, mourning the untimely demise of their colleague. “It is with deep sorrow and heavy heart that we inform our school community of the untimely and tragic demise of our beloved colleague, Ms. Shweta Pushkar Pathak, in an unfortunate accident during a trip at Bali,” the statement read.
The school further described Pathak as more than just an educator. “She was a guiding light to her students, a supportive colleague, and a kind-hearted soul whose presence brought warmth and inspiration to all who knew her. Her passion for teaching, her insightful contributions, and her unwavering dedication to her students and the school community have left an indelible mark on our hearts,” the statement added.
The school principal, Ranjna Jangra, along with Pathak’s husband, has traveled to Bali to coordinate with the local authorities and oversee the formalities required to repatriate her body back to India. The community and colleagues have expressed their condolences, remembering Pathak as a cherished member of the educational institution.
