Chennai, Tamil Nadu – Flight operations at Chennai International Airport were significantly impacted on Monday morning as heavy fog reduced visibility in the region. The reduced visibility led to several flight cancellations and delays, with Air India advising passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had to opt for a road trip from Srinagar to Jammu after his flight was cancelled on Sunday due to poor visibility at the Jammu airport. The cancellation was part of a larger disruption in air traffic, as airport officials reported that eleven flights were cancelled on Sunday because of low visibility, and one more was grounded due to technical reasons.
