A high-level expert committee, including structural engineers from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, will investigate the recent roof collapse incident at Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal-1, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MCA) informed the Delhi High Court on Monday. The committee's formation follows a tragic incident on June 28, where one person lost their life and eight others were injured due to the collapse.

In a detailed letter addressed to the high-level committee led by former President Ram Nath Kovind, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee voiced her strong opposition to the 'one nation, one election' proposal. Labeling it as "a design to subvert the basic structure of the Constitution," Banerjee expressed concerns about the potential impact on India's democratic and federal principles.
