
Early on Sunday morning, a tragic accident occurred in southwest Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan, leaving three individuals critically injured. According to police reports, a speeding Jaguar car collided with a cab, resulting in severe damage and injuries.
The incident was reported to the Delhi Cantt police station around 4:55 am. The driver of the Jaguar fled the scene, prompting a police operation to locate and apprehend them. Southwest Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rohit Meena confirmed that their team responded swiftly to the accident after receiving the call.
Locals, acting as first responders, rushed the injured individuals, including the cab driver identified as Harjeet Singh, to nearby hospitals. Subsequently, they were transferred to AIIMS Trauma Center for further medical care. DCP Meena stated that all three are currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS.
Eyewitnesses described the collision as a head-on impact between the Jaguar and the white-colored Swift Dzire cab, causing significant damage to both vehicles. The Jaguar, belonging to a resident of Saraswati Vihar, was found extensively damaged at the front.
DCP Meena assured that legal measures are being taken in accordance with the law, and efforts are underway to apprehend the driver of the Jaguar. Eyewitnesses recounted the chaotic scene, with one stating that the driver of the Jaguar and a female companion fled the scene after the collision.
