Roshni Kumari, the daughter of an auto-rickshaw driver from Bihar’s Vaishali district, has made headlines by securing the top rank in the commerce stream of the Bihar Class 12 board exams. Despite financial hardships, Roshni’s determination and hard work helped her achieve an impressive 95% (475 marks), making her the state topper in her category.
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the Class 12 results for 2025 on Tuesday, with results available on interresult2025.com and interbiharboard.com.
A Journey of Resilience and Determination
Roshni’s journey to success has been anything but easy. Due to financial constraints, she had to leave her previous school and enroll in a government institution. However, with the constant encouragement of her mother and support from her teachers, she continued to excel in her studies.
Initially, Roshni aspired to become a Chartered Accountant (CA), but given her family’s financial situation, she decided to pursue Company Secretary (CS) instead. Her teachers assured her that financial struggles should not hold her back and promised to support her in achieving her dreams.
“My father is an auto driver. Due to financial constraints, I left my previous school and got myself enrolled in a government school. My mother motivated me a lot. Earlier, I had decided to do CA after the 12th, but looking at our financial condition, I dropped that idea and thought of doing CS. My teachers told me not to worry about money and that they will support me,” Roshni told reporters after her results were announced.
Bihar CM Congratulates Roshni and Other Toppers
Following the announcement of the results, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar congratulated Roshni and all successful students. He particularly highlighted the remarkable performance of female students, who secured top ranks across all three streams—Arts, Science, and Commerce.
In the commerce stream, Antara Khushi secured the second position statewide, attributing her success to the unwavering support of her parents and teachers.
