A shocking video of a violent altercation between a principal and a librarian at a school in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral, showing the two women engaged in a fistfight inside the premises. The incident occurred at the Government Eklavya Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalaya in Khargone on Saturday, leading to both individuals being removed from their positions.
The altercation reportedly began over a dispute regarding the division of work, specifically the handling of students’ books. According to reports, Principal Praveen Dahiya and librarian Madhu Rani were involved in a heated argument when tensions escalated. The situation quickly spiraled out of control, and a physical altercation ensued, culminating in slaps and hair-pulling.
In the viral video captured by other teachers at the school, the two women are seen arguing over the books when the librarian began recording the incident on her phone. Furious, Principal Dahiya lunged at the librarian, slapped her, and then snatched the phone from her hands, throwing it to the ground, which shattered the device. The librarian, visibly upset, shouted, “Madam, how dare you slap me and break my phone!” as she continued to push back.
The situation took a more violent turn when the principal picked up the broken phone and smashed it again. As the librarian continued to challenge her actions, the principal started recording the exchange on her own phone. This led the librarian to retaliate by landing a blow on the principal’s arm. The confrontation then escalated further as the two women began pulling each other’s hair and wrestling on the ground.
Despite the escalating violence, no one intervened in the fight, although those recording the incident, including the son of one of the women, can be heard asking for the altercation to be stopped.
The Khargone tribal welfare department’s assistant commissioner, Prashant Arya, confirmed that both women were removed from their positions following the altercation. Arya also stated that a departmental inquiry would be conducted to investigate the incident further. The two women had visited a police station to report the assault, but were first taken to the hospital for a medical check-up.
Arya mentioned that the disagreement between the principal and librarian, which centered around the confiscation of students’ books, had escalated into a violent confrontation. Depending on the results of the inquiry, further police action will be considered.
This shocking incident highlights the escalating tension over work-related disagreements and the serious consequences that can arise from unresolved conflicts in a professional environment.
