
In a significant and symbolic gesture, President Droupadi Murmu paid a visit to Ayodhya, where she offered prayers and performed rituals at the Ram temple. The event, captured in a video shared on the President’s official social media handle, showcased her participation in the religious ceremonies with reverence and devotion.
The video depicted President Murmu kneeling down and bowing before the idol of Lord Ram at the Ram temple, accompanied by the chanting of religious hymns and the melodious sounds of cymbals and gongs. Prior to her visit to the Ram temple, she participated in the Sarayu aarti and conducted puja at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya.
During the aarti, President Murmu offered a garland of flowers to the Sarayu river, symbolizing her reverence and connection to the sacred water body. The President’s official social media handle shared the details of her visit, highlighting her darshan and puja at the Shri Hanuman Garhi temple.
The President’s arrival in Ayodhya was marked by a warm welcome at the Ayodhya airport, where she was received by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel. This visit holds particular significance as it marks President Murmu’s first trip to Ayodhya since the consecration ceremony of the newly-built Ram temple on January 22.
