The company sources its products at a fair market price from the producers who have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the establishment. The tribal communities that work with the company for bringing authentic commodities that range from food products to traditional artefacts are the Paudibhuiya, Bonda, Didayi, Dangaria, Kandha, Katia, Lodha, Lanjia-Soara, and Santals. A part of the company’s proceeds is invested in these communities for their advancements, and the management closely looks into the improvement of individuals with potential.

Oditribe’s Journey:

Oditribe, which specialises in customise handlooms and Fashion designed brand, started its journey on April, 2022, by launching its first segment of fashion products at Bhubaneswar Runway Week Season 5 at Taj Vivanta. The brand then represented itself in Koraput Mahotsav in collaboration with ORMAS, showcasing all the product domains it deals with. The brand was founded by a women entrepreneur, Rasmita Biswal, and participated in India’s first Women’s Business Mela 2022, where it presented its products and ideas of uplifting tribal communities in India and representing them in international forums through FIEO (Bangladesh, Dubai, Russia & China). After the success of the first Women’s Business Mela, Oditribe continued its journey by representing its products and fashions at the Biggest Fashion Show of 2022 in Bhubaneswar (The Fashion Couture Week) and Fashion & Lifestyle Mela. The brand also showcased its products at Kalinga International Youth Federation in November 2022, in front of delegates from South-Eastern Asian countries. The Women’s Business Mela gave the Oditribe team the confidence to continue their journey, which led them to present themselves in national-level fashion shows and business mela, starting with LOT Fashion Week 2023 in Mumbai then representing the tribal products in Vietnam Embassy Expo. The brand then represented Fashion show in Annual function of Cuttack Club.

Collaborations of Oditribe:

Oditribe has collaborated with various organisations to preserve tribal culture, promote skill development, and market their products worldwide. The brand collaboration with ORMAS, Govt. ITI Bhubaneswar, DREAM College. Oditribe has also tied up with CTCRI (ICAR), Start-up Odisha, Start-up India, BNI, FIEO, FICCI FLO, IWEC, IICCI and MSME, among others, to expand its reach and promote its products. Through these collaborations, Oditribe aims to not only preserve the traditional tribal culture but also empower the tribal communities and provide them with a platform to showcase their talent to the world. We are Incubate of Central Tuber Crop Research Institute (CTCRI-ICAR), solely involved in developing Agri-Innovative products.

Oditribe also has its own authorised store at 2nd floor Pal Heights, Jaydev Vihar and Near Sum Hospital, Kalinganagar, Bhubaneswar. This store is a one-of-its-kind Handlooms, Designed dresses, Agri-Products, Art & Crafts gallery in the state. Through these stores, Oditribe showcases its unique collection of handcrafted products in India. These stores provide a platform for visitors to appreciate the traditional tribal culture and also empower these communities. The stores are an extension of Oditribe’s commitment to preserve and promote traditional tribal culture and uplift the communities associated with it.
