Latest news"Man's Brother Jailed for Killing 2 Boys in Badaun, UP"

In a significant development following the tragic double murder in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, the brother of the main accused has been arrested and incarcerated. The incident, which shocked the nation, involved the brutal killing of two young boys, Ayush (12) and Ahaan (8), in Baba Colony.

Javed, the brother of the primary suspect, had been missing since the incident unfolded on Tuesday. However, he surrendered himself to authorities in Bareilly on a subsequent day. Upon his surrender, he was promptly brought before Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Mohammad Sajid’s court, where he was remanded to judicial custody.

The police are gearing up to seek Javed’s remand from the court for further interrogation, aiming to glean crucial insights into the heinous crime. Javed, who faces murder charges, confessed during questioning that he and his brother had fled together post the gruesome act.

His escape route led him first to his in-laws’ residence and then to Delhi. In Delhi, upon learning that law enforcement was actively searching for him, he decided to turn himself in. This move marked a significant turn in the investigation, shedding light on the sequence of events leading up to and following the tragic murders.

The initial incident saw Sajid, the main suspect, entering a known family’s home and attacking Ayush, Ahaan, and Yuvraj (10) with a knife. While Ayush and Ahaan succumbed to their injuries at the scene, Yuvraj was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Following intense police pursuit, Sajid was confronted in an encounter and fatally shot, hours after the brutal killings. The encounter sparked further scrutiny, leading the Budaun district administration to order a magisterial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the police action.

Both brothers have been formally charged under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to murder. The legal proceedings are expected to unfold as authorities delve deeper into the case, seeking justice for the victims and their families.
