A massive fire erupted at a paint-making chemical factory in Govindpura, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky. The fire broke out behind the Tata Mahindra showroom on JK Road, prompting an immediate response from firefighters and emergency services.
Fire Intensifies After Cylinder Blast
The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit. The flames, soaring up to 20 feet, quickly spread across the factory premises. A large cylinder within the factory burst due to the intense heat, amplifying the fire and creating panic in the area.
In response, nearby showroom operators shut their businesses as a precaution. The industrial area, which houses multiple vehicle showrooms, witnessed a rush of evacuations by shop owners and employees to ensure safety.
Massive Firefighting Operation Underway
Firefighters from Govindpura, Pul Bogda, and Fatehgarh fire stations rushed to the spot with 10 to 12 fire brigade vehicles. Despite their efforts, the flames continued to rage, making firefighting operations challenging.
Local police also reached the scene to manage the situation and ensure civilians remained at a safe distance. A large crowd gathered near the site, witnessing the destruction caused by the inferno.
