In the heart of London’s dub scene stands Joe Ariwa, a multi-talented producer, engineer, and live dub performer carving his legacy from reggae royalty. The son of legendary Mad Professor, Joe has evolved from studio apprentice to one of the most respected figures in UK sound system culture.

His early restoration work breathed new life into lost recordings, some of which were later featured in international dub performances.Today, Joe Ariwa’s production catalog is vast, spanning dubstep, jungle, reggae, and drum & bass. From the Dubstep Dub series to Rewired for Dub with Horace Andy and U Roy, his work reflects a constant drive to innovate. His collaboration with General Levy, including the hit Ramp Wid Di Riddim, gained international acclaim and took dub to new audiences in Europe, Brazil, and The Gambia.

As a live engineer and front-of-house mixer for The Robotiks, Joe adds dynamic dub elements to every show. The group has supported legends like Lee Perry, Big Youth, and Eva Lazarus on some of the world’s biggest reggae stages.Joe also mentors emerging talent through Ariwa Posse, launched in 2022 to feature new-generation artists like Amarra and Askala Selassie. His current production credits include standout tracks like Forever More by Abel Miller and Most High with General Levy.
