At least 10 individuals lost their lives in a devastating accident on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near Nadiad town in Gujarat’s Kheda district. The incident occurred when a speeding car, traveling from Vadodara to Ahmedabad, collided with a truck on the expressway, leading to a tragic loss of lives.
According to reports from the police officials, eight passengers in the car were killed instantly upon impact, while two others succumbed to their injuries while being rushed to the hospital. Inspector Kirit Chaudhary of the Nadiad Rural police station provided details of the accident, stating that the car veered off and crashed into the rear side of the truck.
The accident has sparked deep sorrow and mourning, with Nadiad MLA Pankaj Desai expressing condolences for the victims and their families. Desai speculated that the collision may have occurred due to a technical fault in the truck, causing it to halt on the expressway’s left lane, leaving the car driver with insufficient time to react and avoid the crash.
