A dramatic incident unfolded at Bishop Johnson Girls School in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, where Principal Parul Solomon was forcibly removed from her office amidst allegations of her involvement in a multi-crore exam paper leak scandal. The chaotic scene, captured in viral videos, has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns.
The controversy stems from the alleged leak of the February 11 UPPSC Review Officer-Assistant Review Officer (RO-ARO) exam paper. Bishop Maurice Edgar Dan, representing the Diocese of Lucknow, has accused the school of being embroiled in a scam worth crores, linked to the exam paper leak. Vineet Jaswant, a school staff member, was among those arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with the leak.
On the day of the incident, a group led by Bishop Dan and others forcefully entered Principal Parul Solomon’s office, demanding her immediate removal. Despite her resistance, which was captured on video, Ms. Solomon was removed from her chair, and her phone was confiscated. The installation of Sherlyn Massey as the new principal followed, amid applause from staff present.
In response to the controversy, Bishop Dan claims that Ms. Solomon’s removal was directly linked to her alleged involvement in the scandal. Ms. Solomon, however, has reportedly filed a case alleging mistreatment and sexual abuse during the incident. Contrary to her claims, Bishop Dan asserts that video and CCTV footage do not support allegations of physical abuse.
Following Ms. Solomon’s complaint, a case has been registered against multiple individuals involved in the incident. Both sides have submitted videos to the authorities, who are currently investigating the matter to ascertain the truth behind the allegations.
The incident at Bishop Johnson Girls School has highlighted serious allegations of corruption and misconduct within the educational institution. As investigations continue, the community awaits clarity on the legal and ethical implications surrounding the removal of Principal Parul Solomon and the alleged financial discrepancies associated with her tenure.
