A new twist in the ongoing Mahadev App money laundering case has emerged as a wanted accused, Shubham Soni, has made shocking allegations against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Soni, who is currently in Dubai and wanted by the Enforcement Directorate, has claimed that Baghel advised him to flee to the UAE. The case revolves around allegations of money laundering and the use of illegal funds during elections, a matter of great concern as Chhattisgarh gears up for a crucial electoral battle.

The Mahadev App case has gained considerable attention in recent times, with central investigative agencies scrutinizing the app’s substantial profits and financial transactions. The Enforcement Directorate recently seized ₹5.39 crore in cash from a courier named Asim Das. According to the agency, Das alleged that Shubham Soni had sent the money from Dubai for Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

Further investigations into the case uncovered several benami (proxy) bank accounts linked to the Mahadev App, with approximately ₹15.59 crore frozen in these accounts.
