
The body of Territorial Army soldier Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who was allegedly kidnapped by terrorists during a search operation in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, has been recovered. Bhat was one of two soldiers taken during the operation in the Kazwan forest area late last night.
Officials reported that while one soldier managed to escape, the body of Hilal Ahmad Bhat was discovered in the same forest region. Following the incident, security forces launched an extensive search operation to locate him, underscoring the urgency of the situation.
The Chinar Corps, which is responsible for the area, paid tribute to Bhat, stating, “Chinar Corps honors the supreme sacrifice of the brave heart, Rifleman Hilal Ahmad Bhat, in line of duty for the nation. Earlier today, the Chinar Corps confirmed the soldier’s disappearance and explained that a joint counter-terrorist operation was initiated based on intelligence inputs. The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, began in the Kazwan forest on October 8, continuing overnight as concerns grew regarding the missing soldier.
