In a tragic incident in Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir, four individuals were killed in an explosion that occurred inside a scrap dealer’s shop in the Sopore area on Monday. The blast took place at Sher Colony while a group was unloading scrap from a truck.
According to Sopore SP Divya D, the explosion occurred amidst the unloading process, resulting in the immediate death of two individuals at the scene. Two more victims later succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as Nazir Ahmed, Azam, and Adil Mushtaq, all residents of Sher Bagh. The victims were aged between 20 and 45 years.
Authorities have dispatched a team of forensic experts to the site to investigate the cause and nature of the blast. At present, no detailed information is available regarding the specific cause of the explosion. The police are actively working on the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
