Bengaluru to Experience Power Outages on Saturday Due to Maintenance Work: Full List of Affected Areas

Bengaluru residents are advised to prepare for power outages on Saturday, November 18, from 10 AM to 3 PM, as the city’s electricity supply company, Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), undertakes scheduled maintenance work across various areas.

According to BESCOM, the power cut will affect several localities, including:

  • IAS Colony
  • KAS Colony
  • NS Palya Industrial Area
  • Jhanvi Enclave
  • Bilekahalli Main Road
  • Jayanagar (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 4th T, and 9th Blocks)
  • East End ABCD Road
  • BHEL Layout
  • SRK Gardens
  • NAL Layout
  • Tilaknagar
  • Shanthi Park
  • Jayadeva Hospital
  • Ranka Colony Road
  • NS Palya Main Road
  • GRB Main Road
  • Bismillahnagar
  • Vega City Mall
  • Airtel Office
  • Bannerghatta Main Road
  • KEB Colony
  • Gurappanapalya
  • BTM I Stage
  • Nimhans
  • Kidwai
  • Someshwaranagar
  • Wilson Garden
  • RV Road

Additionally, between 12 PM and 1:30 PM, the following areas will experience power disruptions:

  • JC Nagar
  • Marappa Garden
  • Chinnappa Garden
  • Surrounding areas

BESCOM is carrying out these power outages to perform critical maintenance, which includes improvements to infrastructure such as high-tension (HT) line reconductoring, repairs and replacements of HT connections, tree trimming, servicing of Ring Main Units (RMUs), system upgrades, and other essential maintenance work.

On Thursday and Friday (November 14 and 15), residents also experienced power cuts due to similar maintenance activities, which included the Jalasiri 24×7 water supply project and other system enhancements. Although the outages were planned to last from 10 AM to 4 PM, some areas experienced restoration delays, with power being restored by 5 PM.

BESCOM has urged residents to plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
