Bengaluru Metro Services Partially Curtained on October 3 for Safety Inspection

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that services on the Green Line of the Namma Metro will be partially curtailed on October 3, from 10 am to 2 pm. This modification is being made to facilitate a statutory safety inspection prior to the opening of a new extension section between Nagasandra and Madavara Metro stations.

The inspection will be conducted by the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (Southern Circle) to ensure that the newly constructed extension meets all safety regulations and standards. During this inspection period, Metro trains on the Green Line will only operate between Peenya Industry and Silk Institute Metro Stations.

Passengers are advised that the last train departing from Silk Institute at 9 am will be the final service to Nagasandra before the service modification takes effect. Notably, there will be no changes to the operations of the Purple Line, ensuring continued service for those traveling on that route.

Namma Metro’s Green Line is a vital part of Bengaluru’s public transport network, connecting Nagasandra in the northwest to Silk Institute in the south. This line serves key industrial areas, such as Peenya and Yeshwanthpur, and connects to the central hub of Majestic, facilitating access to several residential areas in Bangalore, including Basavanagudi, Jayanagar, Banshankari, and Thalaghattapura.

Passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and stay updated on any further announcements from BMRCL regarding the resumption of regular services.
