Actor Darshan Admitted to Hospital for Back and Leg Pain Following Bail

Renowned actor Darshan, recently granted interim bail on medical grounds, has been admitted to a private hospital in Kengeri, Bengaluru, due to persistent back pain and weakness in his left leg. The news comes just days after his release from Ballari Central Prison, where he was held on charges related to the alleged murder of his fan, Renukaswamy.

Accompanied by his wife, Vijayalakshmi, Darshan arrived at the hospital on Friday. Medical professional Dr. Naveen Appaji Gowda, who is overseeing Darshan’s treatment, confirmed that the actor is experiencing significant discomfort in both his back and leg. “His left leg is weak. We are considering what can be done next. Currently, we have conducted preliminary examinations and are planning further investigations, including MRI scans and blood tests,” Dr. Gowda stated.

The medical team indicated that they did not have access to Darshan’s previous MRI films or test reports, necessitating new imaging to ascertain the extent of his condition. Dr. Gowda emphasized that a clearer understanding of Darshan’s health would emerge after the results of these tests are available, expected within 24 to 48 hours. At that point, they will determine whether the actor requires surgical intervention or if physiotherapy will suffice.

The High Court of Karnataka granted Darshan six weeks of bail on October 30, citing medical issues. This decision followed a presentation of sealed medical reports from doctors at the prison and specialists from a government hospital in Ballari, indicating the actor’s health challenges, including numbness in both feet.

Following his release, Darshan had initially returned to his wife’s home in Hosakere village, Tumukuru, where large crowds of fans gathered, overwhelming security personnel. His son Vineesh urged fans to leave, citing a gag order from the high court prohibiting discussions about the case. However, the actor’s hospital admission on Friday also attracted a significant number of fans, underscoring his popularity.
