Vaishali, Bihar: Dr. Bhaskar, a devoted medical officer and MBBS graduate, has been a beacon of hope for the underprivileged people of rural Bihar. Affectionately known as ‘Gaaon ka Doctor,’ Dr. Bhaskar has been tirelessly serving the community, providing free medical consultations and generic medicines to those in need.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to the healthcare system, and Dr. Bhaskar’s own family was not spared. His grandfather, a constant source of inspiration and guidance, fell ill, and the experience was a rude awakening to the harsh realities of Bihar’s healthcare infrastructure. “Seeing the struggles of my own family and the healthcare system in Bihar, I knew I had to do more,” says Dr. Bhaskar.
Moved by the plight of his people, Dr. Bhaskar has redoubled his efforts to make healthcare accessible to all, especially the underprivileged. He has been running a monthly medical camp at Paramhans School, Vaishali, providing much-needed healthcare services to the rural population.
Dr. Bhaskar’s vision is to open a free hospital in Bihar, where the poor and marginalized can receive quality healthcare services without financial burdens. His selfless service is a testament to his commitment to the welfare of the community.
“The inspiration behind this noble cause is my grandfather, who instilled in me the values of compassion and service,” says Dr. Bhaskar. “I dedicate this to him, and I hope to continue serving the people of Bihar in his memory.”
