The meeting took place ahead of Kalpana Soren’s participation in the INDIA bloc’s mega rally against Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, scheduled to be held at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday. Kalpana Soren expressed strong support for Kejriwal, stating that Jharkhand stands with him during these challenging times.
During the meeting with Sunita Kejriwal, Kalpana Soren highlighted the parallels between the situations in Jharkhand and Delhi, referring to her husband’s arrest in an alleged land scam earlier and Kejriwal’s recent arrest. She mentioned that both instances reflect the need to continue the fight for justice, and she assured Sunita Kejriwal of Jharkhand’s support for Arvind Kejriwal.
Hemant Soren’s arrest on January 31 in connection with an alleged land scam led to his resignation as the chief minister of Jharkhand. Champai Soren subsequently assumed the chief ministerial position. Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest on March 21, although devoid of the dramatic travel saga of Hemant Soren, has sparked discussions about political developments and the legal proceedings surrounding the case.
