In a highly guarded ceremony, infamous gangster Sandeep, better known as ‘Kala Jatheri,’ exchanged vows with Anuradha Choudhary, alias ‘Revolver Rani,’ on Tuesday morning in Delhi’s Dwarka. Despite being incarcerated in Tihar Jail, Sandeep was granted parole by a Delhi court to attend his wedding.
The event witnessed stringent security measures, with the presence of the SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team of Delhi Police Special Cell, along with approximately 150-200 police personnel deployed at the wedding venue. The banquet hall hosting the ceremony was mandated to install CCTV cameras throughout the premises to ensure surveillance.
The ‘Grih Pravesh’ ceremony for the bride is slated for March 13 at around 11 am in Jatheri village, located in Haryana’s Sonipat district. Sandeep, alias Kala Jatheri, had sought custody parole on humanitarian grounds, citing marriage as a fundamental right under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. The applications, filed through advocate Rohit Dalal, highlighted that both the bride and groom were of legal age as per the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955.
The Delhi court had previously granted Sandeep a window from 10 am to 4 pm for his wedding. This development follows Sandeep’s recent custody by the Delhi Police crime branch in connection with an extortion case involving other accused persons.
Kala Jatheri, a notorious figure, faces various serious charges, including those under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), for allegedly running an organized crime syndicate. He was apprehended along with Anuradha Choudhary by the Delhi Police Special Cell from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in July 2021.
Anuradha, a member of the Kala Jatheri gang and a close associate of the deceased gangster Anandpal Singh, has multiple charges against her, including extortion, kidnapping, murder, and abduction in Rajasthan and Delhi. Despite her legal troubles, she is currently out on bail.
As the wedding of these notorious figures unfolds under tight security, it underscores the complex intersection of crime, law enforcement, and personal life, leaving authorities vigilant in the face of potential security threats.
