Two students who went missing from their Noida school after a disappointing test result were located in Delhi following an extensive search involving seven police teams and over 500 CCTV cameras.

On Thursday, Aryan Chaurasia and Nitin Dhyan, students of Uttarakhand Public School in Sector-56, ran away from school after receiving low marks on an internal exam. The students, distressed by their poor grades and fearful of parental reprimand, decided to flee after being asked to bring their parents to sign their test sheets.

When the boys did not return home, their worried parents reported them missing to the police, prompting a swift response. Senior police officer Manish Kumar Mishra detailed the operation, which involved reviewing footage from more than 500 CCTV cameras installed around the school and its vicinity.

The search efforts led to the boys being spotted on surveillance cameras at the school gate and near Modi Mall in Sector 25. Following this lead, plainclothes officers and uniformed personnel were deployed to search the area. The missing students were eventually found in Anand Vihar, Delhi, approximately 40 kilometers from their school.

The boys’ parents expressed their gratitude to the police teams for their dedication and successful resolution of the case. Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh also met with the children and their parents to offer counseling and support.

This case highlights the effective use of technology and coordinated police work in resolving missing persons cases, ensuring the safe return of the young students.
