YouTuber Elvish Yadav Threatens to Sue BJP MP Maneka Gandhi Over Snake Venom Case

Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2 and a prominent YouTuber, has threatened to initiate a defamation case against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi. This follows an FIR filed against Yadav in a snake venom supply case in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. In a vlog post, Yadav blamed Maneka Gandhi for damaging his reputation and expressed confidence in clearing his name as the truth emerges.

Accused of being the head of a snake venom supplier ring, Elvish Yadav vehemently denied these allegations, stating that the snakes seen in his videos were used for song shoots and nothing else. He asserted his commitment to upholding his own and his family’s reputation and offered to surrender if any evidence linked him to the illegal activities.

In a personalized video on YouTube, the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner expressed his frustration with a section of the media, accusing them of tarnishing his image for the sake of higher TRPs (television rating points). He highlighted the power of social media and Indian media to shape public perception, emphasizing the need for responsible reporting.

Elvish Yadav’s ordeal began when an FIR was filed against him by Maneka Gandhi’s NGO, People for Animals (PFA), in connection with alleged snake venom supply at rave parties. Uttar Pradesh Police named Elvish and five others as being behind the illicit supply of snake venom. While five of the accused were arrested and sent to judicial custody, Elvish Yadav remained free, steadfastly denying any involvement and expressing his willingness to cooperate with the police.

The case emerged after Noida Police rescued nine snakes, including cobras, from the possession of the arrested accused at a banquet hall in Sector 51, Noida. They also seized 20 ml of snake venom. Elvish Yadav was not present at the venue during the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities collecting evidence to determine his role in the case before taking legal action.

In a separate incident, Elvish Yadav was briefly stopped by the Rajasthan Police in Kota while traveling with friends. However, he was later allowed to continue his journey, as the Noida Police confirmed that he was not a wanted individual and the matter was under investigation.

Elvish Yadav’s case serves as a stark reminder of the power of social media, the potential consequences of false allegations, and the importance of responsible journalism in today’s media landscape. As the investigation unfolds, many await the resolution of this high-profile case, which has garnered significant public attention and sparked a debate on the role of media in shaping public perception.
