Tragic Land Dispute in Rajasthan: Man Crushed to Death by Tractor Amid Family Clash

A shocking and gruesome incident unfolded in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur, where a family land dispute escalated into a horrifying tragedy. A man lost his life in a brutal manner as he was crushed to death by a tractor driven by his own brother. The accused, identified as Damodar, repeatedly drove the tractor over his brother Nirpat during a violent clash between two families.

The dispute revolved around a piece of land that had embroiled the families of Bahadur Singh and Atar Singh in a longstanding conflict. The situation took a violent turn when Bahadur Singh’s family arrived at the disputed plot on a tractor, and later, Atar Singh’s family arrived at the scene.

The clash rapidly escalated, with both families resorting to sticks and stones, and reports from villagers even suggested that gunshots were heard. Amidst this chaos, Nirpat, one of Atar Singh’s sons, fell to the ground during the altercation. In a horrifying act, his own brother, Damodar, proceeded to drive the tractor back and forth over Nirpat eight times until he succumbed to his injuries.

Despite efforts by other family members to intervene, Damodar persisted, ultimately resulting in the tragic death of his own brother.

The violent clash left nearly ten individuals injured, all of whom are currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. The police have reacted swiftly by registering a case and detaining four individuals for questioning, as they begin their investigation into this gruesome incident.

It has been reported that the two families had clashed just five days prior when Bahadur Singh and his younger brother, Janak, were injured. In response, the family had filed a case against Atar Singh’s family, which included Nirpat.

This horrifying incident has sparked political reactions, with the BJP criticizing the ruling Congress in Rajasthan. BJP’s Sambit Patra made a passionate call for Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to visit Bharatpur in light of the disturbing video footage that has circulated widely.

“We were going to talk about a serious issue in this press conference, but I could not stop myself after watching this video. That is why I challenge you to go there,” he stated, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

This tragic event stands as a grim reminder of the need for resolution and reconciliation in land disputes and the catastrophic consequences that can emerge when such conflicts escalate to violence.
