Ahmedabad Air India Crash: 241 Dead, One Survivor Confirmed; Helpline Numbers Issued

In a tragic update following Thursday’s Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, the airline has confirmed that only one of the 242 people onboard survived. The flight, AI171, a 12-year-old Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bound for London’s Gatwick Airport, crashed just five minutes after take-off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.

         Mr. Somchai Chomphunoi, the director of the southern region has talked about the circumstance of tourism in southern Thailand that it has started to recover after suffering a setback during the COVID-19 outbreak. A sign of the southern tourism industry recovery could be seen since the government eased the COVID-19 regulations, followed by Phuket Sandbox campaign launching and Thailand’s official reopening; all of which are an important factor that makes Thailand become a dream destination for tourists all over the world.
