“Sadhguru Receives Emergency Surgery for Brain Bleed at Hospital in Delhi”

Latest news"Sadhguru Receives Emergency Surgery for Brain Bleed at Hospital in Delhi"
Sadhguru Undergoes Surgery for Chronic Brain Bleed at Delhi Hospital

Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev underwent surgery at a Delhi hospital for a life-threatening brain bleed, as confirmed by his Isha Foundation. The surgery was necessitated by Sadhguru’s persistent severe headache over the past four weeks, which led to a medical emergency.

According to statements from the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru’s condition prompted an urgent MRI on the advice of Dr. Vinit Suri from the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals. The MRI revealed a massive bleed in his brain, including chronic and fresh bleeding leading up to the examination.

Despite the severity of his condition, Sadhguru initially delayed hospitalization to fulfill his pending work commitments. However, his health deteriorated further on March 17, as he experienced weakness in his left leg along with worsening headaches and continued vomiting. This prompted his admission to the hospital, where a CT scan revealed significant brain swelling and a critical shift of the brain, necessitating emergency brain surgery.

The surgery, aimed at relieving the bleeding in Sadhguru’s skull, was successful, and he has been recovering well, even exceeding initial expectations. Post-surgery, he was weaned off the ventilator as part of his recovery process.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally reached out to Sadhguru, extending his wishes for a speedy recovery. The Isha Foundation’s statement also highlighted Sadhguru’s humor during his hospital stay, as he joked about his “patched-up skull” and expressed gratitude for the medical care he received.
