PM Modi to Take Oath for Third Term: Date, Time, and How to Watch

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to take the oath of office for his third consecutive term on Sunday, June 9, at approximately 7:15 pm. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unanimously chose Mr Modi as their leader in a meeting held on Friday, paving the way for the formation of the government at the Centre.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and marks the culmination of preparations that have seen the premises closed to the public from June 5 to June 9.

These leaders are scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on Sunday and will participate in a formal banquet hosted by President Draupadi Murmu after the ceremony.

Delhi is on high alert as SAARC leaders prepare to attend the event. Major hotels in the city, including Leela, Taj, ITC Maurya, Claridges, and Oberoi, are under tight security. Police officials have arranged secure routes for the dignitaries’ travel between their hotels and the venue, ensuring a smooth and secure event.
