In an unexpected and exciting turn of events, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the YouTube Fanfest India 2023, connecting with around 5,000 content creators and declaring that he is “just like them.” During his YouTube address, PM Modi expressed his delight at being part of the YouTube community as a fellow YouTuber, emphasizing his observation of how content creators impact the nation.

PM Modi disclosed, “For 15 years, I have also been connected to the country and the world through a YouTube channel. I also have subscribers in decent numbers,” proudly referring to his 17.9 million subscribers.

Highlighting the potential for transformation through collaboration, the prime minister conveyed, “Together, we can bring transformation in the lives of a vast population in our country.”

He further shared his personal satisfaction in engaging with students through YouTube on topics such as managing exam stress, handling expectations, and enhancing productivity.

During his brief five-minute address, PM Modi touched upon key national initiatives, including “Swachh Bharat,” digital payments, and “Vocal for Local.” He urged content creators to inspire more individuals to actively participate in these campaigns.

PM Modi encouraged content creators to make emotional appeals, emphasizing the importance of supporting products with a connection to India’s heritage and local labor. He stated, “Consider putting a question at the end of each episode or provide action points to do something. People can do the activity and share it with you. This way, your popularity will also grow, and people will not just listen but also engage in doing something.”

In his closing remarks, Prime Minister Modi playfully said, “Subscribe to my channel and hit the bell icon to receive all my updates,” signaling his desire to strengthen his digital connection with the nation through YouTube.
