In a virtual address at the Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the significance of innovation, technology, and women’s empowerment in shaping India’s future. The Rozgar Mela, a recruitment drive aimed at filling existing vacancies against sanctioned posts, took on a special importance as PM Modi distributed 51,000 appointment letters to new recruits.

Historic Women’s Reservation Bill

Prime Minister Modi hailed the women’s reservation bill as a historic decision that would empower women across the country. He noted that a substantial number of appointments made at the latest Rozgar Mela were women, reflecting the growing role of women in India’s workforce. The bill, which recently passed through both houses with strong support, is seen as a pivotal step towards gender equality and women’s participation in politics.

PM Modi expressed pride in the achievements of Indian women, highlighting their excellence in diverse fields, from space to sports. He noted that daughters of the country were driving positive change and emphasized the need to harness their potential fully.

Modi encouraged the use of technology to enhance government efficiency, citing examples like online rail ticket bookings, Aadhaar cards, E-KYC, and Digi locker as transformative developments. He highlighted that technology has not only reduced corruption and complexity but also increased credibility and convenience for citizens.

The Prime Minister urged the new recruits to explore innovative ways to harness technology for the betterment of society. He commended the government’s mission-oriented policies over the last nine years, which have prioritized mass participation and the adoption of technology for transformative change.

As India looks towards the future with high expectations, Prime Minister Modi’s message at the Rozgar Mela underscores the importance of innovation, technology, and women’s empowerment in shaping the nation’s path forward.
