Chopra’s appreciation follows similar messages from other notable sports personalities, including former cricketers Ravi Shastri and Suresh Raina, as well as badminton champion PV Sindhu. Suresh Raina, in his X post, praised the Prime Minister’s “insightful leadership” and highlighted India’s remarkable role at the G20 Summit. The two-day-long G20 Summit, hosted by India in the national capital on September 9 and 10, witnessed the participation of world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, UK PM Rishi Sunak, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, among others. These leaders acknowledged India’s warm hospitality and praised Prime Minister Modi for his leadership throughout the summit.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expressed his gratitude to PM Modi and the Indian people for the successful G20 Summit, emphasizing the significance of global food security and international partnerships discussed during the event.

Furthermore, the G20 leaders commended Prime Minister Modi for championing the voice of the Global South and welcomed the decision to include the African Union (AU) as a member of the G20. US President Biden praised this decision, recognizing the African Union as a critical partner and acknowledging India’s role in uniting nations to address global challenges.
