Kamal Nath Encourages Participation in Rahul Gandhi's Yatra Amid Speculation

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath, amidst swirling rumors of a potential shift to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has called upon the people and Congress workers to join Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in the state. Nath’s social media post comes in the wake of intense speculation regarding his political allegiance, with some suggesting a possible defection to the BJP.

In his post on X, Nath expressed enthusiasm for welcoming Rahul Gandhi’s yatra, emphasizing Gandhi’s commitment to combating injustice and exploitation. He urged the people of Madhya Pradesh and Congress workers to stand in solidarity with Gandhi, portraying him as the leader of their cause against oppression.

Speculation surrounding Nath’s political future intensified after a post shared by former Congress leader and BJP State Spokesperson Narendra Saluja showed a picture of Nath with Nakul Nath, accompanied by the phrase ‘Jai Shree Ram’. However, Nath has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors, stating that any significant developments would be communicated to the media promptly.

Amidst the conjecture, Nath reaffirmed his allegiance to the Congress ideology in a previous post on X. He underscored the Congress’s historical commitment to truth, religion, and justice, highlighting its inclusive ethos and dedication to nation-building. Nath positioned the Congress as a bulwark against threats to democracy, invoking the legacies of Gandhiji, Nehruji, and Ambedkarji in shaping India’s future.
