Spanning three days, the campaign commenced on August 13 and will continue until August 15, commemorating 76 years of India’s journey as an independent nation. Citizens across the country are invited to partake in this movement by displaying the national tricolour at their homes and sharing selfies adorned with the Indian flag.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself endorsed the campaign’s revival, extending an invitation to the nation to engage in the patriotic initiative. Individuals wishing to contribute can upload their selfies featuring the national flag to the dedicated web portal, harghartiranga.com.
Uploading Selfie with the National Flag: A Step-by-Step Guide
- Visit harghartiranga.com.
- Click on the ‘UPLOAD SELFIE WITH FLAG’ option.
- Enter your name and upload the image using the ‘Browse Files’ button.
- Provide consent for the portal to use your name and photo.
- Click on ‘Submit.’
Participants eagerly anticipating the display of their selfies can find their submissions by navigating to the ‘Selfies’ section on the top right corner of the portal. Simply enter your name to locate your contribution. For those unable to find their selfies immediately, they will become viewable from 8 am onwards starting August 16.
The campaign has garnered significant attention and engagement, with over 60 million (6 crore) selfies already uploaded to the portal. Led by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative celebrates the spirit of patriotism and unity that the tricolour embodies.
