Latest news"New CCTV Reveals Suspect's 9-Minute Stay in Rameshwaram Cafe Before Blast"

Newly obtained CCTV footage has shed light on the suspect involved in the bombing at a popular cafe in Bengaluru, revealing that the individual spent a mere nine minutes inside the establishment before the explosion occurred.

The footage depicts the suspect, clad in sunglasses, a mask, and a baseball hat, making his way from a nearby bus stand towards The Rameshwaram Cafe. He is seen engaged in a conversation on his mobile phone as he enters the cafe located in Bengaluru’s Brookfield area at precisely 11:34 am on Friday.

At 11:43 am, just nine minutes later, the suspect is captured leaving the cafe hastily, mirroring the urgency with which he arrived.

The brevity of the suspect’s stay raises questions about the calculated nature of the attack. It is revealed that the suspect left behind a bag containing an improvised explosive device (IED) inside the cafe, resulting in injuries to 10 individuals, including some cafe staff members.

In response to the incident, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has assumed control of the case, taking over from the Bengaluru Police. Initially, the local authorities had filed charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Substances Act in connection with the cafe explosion.

Karnataka’s Home Minister, G Parameshwara, provided insights into the ongoing investigation, stating that eight specialized teams have been deployed to pursue various leads and gather evidence. Emphasizing the urgency of the matter, Parameshwara highlighted the similarities between the Bengaluru blast and a recent explosion in Mangaluru, suggesting a potential connection.

Acknowledging the technical similarities between the two incidents, the minister revealed that the National Security Guards (NSG) had been summoned to aid in the investigation. Assuring the public of the authorities’ commitment to apprehend the perpetrator, Parameshwara affirmed that all necessary measures were being taken to ensure justice is served.
