Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, along with her daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, has been granted interim bail until February 28 in the Railways land-for-job case by a Delhi court. Special Judge Vishal Gogne provided this relief following a request from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which stated that it required additional time to prepare arguments for their regular bail application.
The trio appeared before the court in response to summons issued after the court acknowledged the charge sheet submitted by the ED in the case. During the proceedings, the court questioned the necessity of the accused’s custody, particularly since the ED did not detain them during its investigation.
This development marks a significant moment in the ongoing legal battle surrounding the alleged land-for-jobs scam, which has ensnared several prominent figures including Rabri Devi and her daughters. As the case unfolds, the granting of interim bail provides temporary respite for the accused as they navigate the complexities of the legal process.
