The highly anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya draws closer as the sanctum sanctorum, where the idol of Lord Ram will be housed, nears completion. Champat Rai, the Secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust, unveiled images showcasing the almost-finished sanctum sanctorum, adorned with meticulous lighting fixtures, signaling the imminent arrival of Lord Shri Ramlala’s idol. Rai expressed, “The sanctum sanctorum of Lord Shri Ramlala is almost ready. Recently the lighting-fitting work has also been completed. Sharing some photographs with you.”
The Trust released captivating images displaying the intricate carvings within the temple, depicting the devotion and craftsmanship poured into the edifice. Rai previously mentioned that the idol of Lord Ram, portraying a five-year-old child form, is nearing completion by three artisans in Ayodhya. These idols, reaching 90 percent completion, await the final touches before being installed in the temple’s ‘Grabhgriha’ on the ground floor.
Anticipation for the grand opening on January 22nd intensifies, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi slated to attend the ceremony. Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony are set to commence on January 16th, a week before the main event. Lakshmi Kant Dixit will conduct the primary rituals during the consecration ceremony.
In preparation for the influx of devotees, several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya to accommodate the thousands expected to gather for the historic occasion. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust assures arrangements for 10,000-15,000 people. Local authorities are bracing for the surge in visitors, implementing heightened security measures and logistical arrangements to ensure a seamless and secure experience for all attendees.
