Shri Sudiip Pratap Singh, who has been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for almost 30 years, and has remained a longstanding admirer and well-wisher of Shiv Sena, has been appointed as General Secretary – Organisation, Bihar.
The party has given him the responsibility to establish, strengthen, and expand the organisational structure of Shiv Sena across Bihar.
Dr Abhishek Verma, Chief National Coordinator, ShivSena NDA Alliance & Elections, extended a warm welcome to Sudip in joining the Sena parivar. “Today Shri Sudip Pratap Singh has joined Shiv Sena. It is the start of a new inning of his long experience in organizational and social work. During school days only, he has joined the RSS and helped in organizing its shakas. He was also actively involved with the Ramjanam Bhoomi Andolan in the 90’s, social and organizational works in Bihar villages…,” said Mr Verma in his introductory speech welcoming Sudip into the party. His recorded message was read during the joining ceremony held in Patna today. Ashutosh Jha and Abhay Dwivedi, BJP’s Bihar and UP Shiv Sena’s President respectively, were also present on the occasion. Local leaders like Mithlesh Kumar Rai and Kunal Yadav, too, joined the well attended ceremony.
Background:
Studied in a missionary school but has a strong affiliation to Bharat & its cultural heritage. Joined RSS in school & became mukhya (main) shikshak and aggressively expanded shakas in Patna, despite a non-conducive atmosphere in home for these kind of activities. During school days only, he also got affiliated to the Shiv Sena & established it in Patna. Land line telephone was rare in those days and since his home had one, it was used for communicating with the party’s cadres and leaders.
Inspired by Ramjanam Bhomi Andolan during the 90’s, he ran away from home to Ayodhya for participating in kar sevas, taking along several youths. He came back home after 10 days. At home, he had to face an angry father but continued his association with RSS and other social activities.
After graduation, he did an MBA from a reputed management college & got placed in a well-known FMCG’s company in Mumbai. There he got a chance to see corporate culture & also RSS – Shiv Sena working at the place of their origin. He had a successful corporate career for 17 long years and worked as HR head in several big companies including MNCs. During the free time, he got a chance to work and expand RSS in big cities like Chennai, Delhi & Noida.
In 2014, 2019 & 2024, he actively participated in BJP’s campaign & electioneering. This was the time he chose to listen his internal voice to fully immerse in social and political works. He made a difficult decision of coming back to his native place, a village in Bihar’s Saharsa district. It was a very tough & bold personal decision.
He immediately faced a bigger challenge. Several volatile, aggressive & criminals tried to intimidate him. These were the cultural remnants of Bihar’s 90s era of lawlessness. Despite all these odds, he once again started working full time with the RSS in Bihar and supervised district-level meetings and expansions. During Ram Janambhumi Nidhi samarpan, he visited personally almost 50% of Saharsa villages. It was an emotional and enriching experiences. Connecting with people at such a mass scale helped him in better understanding of grassroots challenges still faced by public at the village level where still majority of population lives in Bihar.
He has also been actively arranging camps for cataract operation in villages on the name of his late father for the last several years.
