Thane, 15 August 2025 – The newly formed Yuvaa Udaan Foundation, commenced its journey today with a heartfelt gesture of gratitude towards the city’s police force. The organisation, held its inaugural event on the occasion of Independence Day, honouring police personnel with umbrellas and shawls.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Thane Hills and took place across multiple key locations in the city. Starting with Kopri Police Station, the team extended their appreciation to the officers stationed there before visiting Kopri Traffic Police Station, Mulund Check Naka, Teen Haath Naka, and Nitin Company junction. At each stop, traffic police officers were honoured for their tireless service.
Speaking about the initiative, Sahil Sidhwani, Founder of Yuvaa Udaan Foundation, shared, “Police officers protect us 365 days a year – whether it’s scorching heat, heavy rains, or the chill of winter. With these umbrellas, we hope to offer them protection from the elements, just as they shield us from harm.”
The occasion was graced by two distinguished chief guests – Shri Bharat Chavan ji, Corporator, Thane Municipal Corporation, and Omkar Chavan ji, Maharashtra State Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha – whose presence added significance to the Foundation’s first public initiative.
The Foundation expressed its gratitude to members of the Rotaract Club of Thane Hills for their support, specifically acknowledging Rtr. Sayali Koragaonkar, President of Rotaract Club of Thane Hills; Rtr. Gargi Wardham, Secretary of Rotaract Club of Thane Hills; and Rtr. Virtti Sidhwani, Community Service Director of Rotaract Club of Thane Hills.
Yuvaa Udaan Foundation was launched under the leadership of Sahil Sidhwani, who also serves as Treasurer of the Rotaract Club of Thane Hills, President of Sindhi Cell, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (Thane District) as well as Taramauli Samajik Seva Samstha. He is joined in this venture by co-founders Harsh Agarwal and Gaurav Saraf.
